Tire molds and plastic injection molds — including molds designed from scratch to the customer’s own product.

The mold is where the product is actually decided. Everything upstream — the compound, the cord, the building drum — only matters if the cavity that shapes and cures the rubber is right.
PAXTON supplies molds in two families: tire molds for bicycle, motorcycle and passenger tires, and plastic injection molds. Both are precision machined and finished to hold the surface detail through repeated curing cycles at temperature and pressure.

Most mold suppliers will machine what you send them. Our strength is the step before that — taking a product requirement and turning it into a mold that produces it.
Bring us a product idea, a sketch, a competitor sample, or a performance requirement. We design the tread pattern, the sidewall, the cavity geometry — a mold specific to your product, not a catalogue item with your name on it.
Machined to hold detail: tread blocks, sidewall lettering, rotation arrows, size and pressure markings. The engraving on the mold is what appears on every tire it cures, for the life of the mold.
A mold is only as good as its fit. We match the mold to the curing press — platen size, clamping, heating and mold open/close travel — so the two work as one.

A 29 × 2.125 bicycle tire mold, produced for and in service at Samson Reclaim Rubbers, our joint venture in Sri Lanka. Every marking a rider will ever read on the tire sidewall — size, pressure rating, rotation direction, country of manufacture — is cut into this face.
If you already have a mold drawing, send it and we will quote. If you only know what tire you want to make — the size, the application, the market — that is enough to start.
